“Our corporate social responsibility is to ensure we contribute to sustaining the knowledge of leaders in the construction industry”.– Construced CEO
In the construction industry, you know how important it is to use the right tool for each job. Education is one of those tools you need to move up and be successful in this high-powered business. Our corporate social responsibility consists of the production of relevant and practical online construction courses. And, our newsletter, “The Perspective”, exists with the intention to reach our community of construction industry professionals. So, we believe construction industry professionals have a social responsibility as well; to contribute their best to one of the major market sectors.
Our technical team, like many others in the construction industry, began with little experience. Some of us had college degrees along with on-the-job experience. Even so, there was still a commong missing factor. A factor that could have molded us differently and allowed us to achieve higher milestones sooner. This missing factor was learning practical information. This was practical nowledge that should have been known and applied in the moment. This was knowledge we wer’ent obtaining early enough. And, it was knowledge that others didn’t know needed to be taught. We we’rent learning fast enough. And, we were on a need-to-know basis. So realizing this, we took matters into our own hands. Certainly, we strategically piecemealed our education over the course of our careers, making it a worthwhile experience.
Moreover, as growth took place, we noticed a lack of education taking place across the board. Interestingly though, we commonly found ourselves educating others from different backgrounds. These backgrounds included vendors, suppliers, engineers, etc. And so, the desire to help arose. As an example; there was a need for our vendors and suppliers to understand exactly how the construction industry and the field operate. We needed them to know how their operation affects the project budget and vice versa. Further, we believe every level of involvement in the construction industry should maintain education.
As a result of our experiences, we documented everything we did and learned that helped us achieve success in the construction industry. And so, our stories, journey, and experience in the industry, cultivated excitement and passion. So here we are, thrilled to engage individuals related to, and impacting the construction industry. Therefore, we will be missional in providing that missing factor, encouraging individuals to “do better” through practical continued education with Construced. Subsequently, self-development has proved to be beneficial. Moreover, we believe this is true no matter how long you’ve been in the industry. You’re never done learning!
So, in summary, our excitement and passion lead us to our mission to:
- Raise awareness of the importance and the need for continued education.
- Address the lack of training and knowledge in the construction industry
- Encourage construction industry professionals to strive to be better at what they do
